An exhibition to raise awareness about plastic pollution in Lake Geneva, organised in collaboration with Race For Water Foundation for the EXPO Milano 2015.
The event took place in two areas. The first exhibition showed the plastic found in a series of walks around the lake shores, displaying everything found on 100 meters for 45 minutes in several different days. The contrast of colourful plastic artefacts as waste, created by showcasing the polluting pieces in a beautiful way, helped us to explain that we should be treating plastic as a valuable material, and so to take care of where it ends up.
The other exhibition area was a live demonstration showing the potential of recycling plastic. With a low-tech installation, we heat-pressed shredded plastic waste, making Frisbees on location. As a retrievable object enjoyed outdoors, the frisbee communicated the power in ease of repurposing plastic waste - plastic that you want to pick up and not leave behind.
